Search q ranks softly; feature is a hard requirement. Null prices are unknown, not zero. Browse prices are optional snapshots for the stated party and dates; manager quotes may be cached for up to 30 minutes. Request a quote for the actual trip and inspect expires_at.

## Checkout boundaries
For website listings, links.book opens the manager checkout via a Pangea referral redirect. POST https://thisispangea.com/api/v1/bookings returns 409 book_on_manager_site with error.book_url: this is a supported handoff, not a booking failure. Pangea holds no dates, takes no payment and cannot observe external confirmation or cancel that reservation.
For other listings, the API may return 201 held with payment.mode and payment.pay_url. Demo homes and installations without Stripe run in practice mode. Live transactions are unverified; SMS delivery is not connected.
Obtain the person's explicit approval before creating holds or taking payment. Do not call a handoff or a practice confirmation a real booking. Keep booking tokens and guest details private.

## Inventory and services
Preview homes are unpublished even when visible in local preview mode. They are excluded from the sitemap and noindex; this is not authentication. Demo homes are sample data. An empty or closed catalog does not establish that no homes exist by direct preview link.
Services pages are informational; there is no service-booking API.
